A site has been recommended to me about different kinds of experiences you can have while in Paris.  It looks interesting and off the beaten path and quite well done. 

If you are looking to have a cultural experience at a bakery, or to take a chocolate tour with tastings in French, or to do a day tour of Reims and some wineries that specialize in Champagne, then look no further than this website.  They also include dinners in people's homes.  Take a look and see if there is something you are interested in... a great way to meet some French people, learn something and experience a cultural event, then this group of organizers may be for you.
